Spring is here!  (Well ... kind of ...)

 

We are in that crazy time of year where one day we are in shorts and flip flops and the next day it is a blizzard.  But those little glimpses of summer get me antsy to start working on spring projects!  

 

So today I'm going to give you a round-up of some fun prepping projects you can work on this month as well as a sneak peek at Thrive's BIG Spring Sale!  I love projects and I love sales so I'm a happy girl this month :)

I couldn't possibly do a post about Spring projects without including a spring cleaning project in there.  I do think that spring cleaning your food storage is actually a really FUN and REWARDING task.  You may be more of a Marie Kondo organization type of person who can just do it all in one shot ... But I personally need to break things up and work on them over a few weekends.

 

The zone system is perfect because you can break your tasks into zones, and then pick one or two zones to work on as your time permits.  You can even break them into smaller projects within the zones if you need to.

 

 

If you do a really great organizational project I'd LOVE to see your before and after photos.  We had a great series of people doing pantry makeovers over in my Facebook Group and it was great fun to see everyone's results.  Come and share!

This is the time of year I definitely get the gardening itch too.  I have loved having garden boxes in every one of my homes and think the Square Foot Gardening method is just awesome.  You can check out the Square Foot Gardening 101 video I made with my cousin a few years ago for some tips on getting started if you have a small space to work with or just love the convenience of keeping your garden contained.

Spring is definitely WEDDING SEASON and I'm always trying to think of creative food storage gifts to give to the newlyweds.  There was a post in my Facebook Group a while back from Margene N. with this great idea to put 3 sets of 9 can soup into a 5-gallon bucket.  I immediately thought it would make a fabulous gift idea as well as just being a handy thing to have on hand for a few quick and easy meals in an emergency.
