Because we are all friends here, I wanted to share a few of my personal goals here as well. Like I said, I'm trying to keep it simple and focus on healthy habits so here we go!
1. Establish a good morning routine including personal study, meditation, prayer, and a little bit of exercise (this will involve waking up earlier than my kids, yikes!)
2. Make small changes towards being healthier including: drink more water and less Diet Coke, eat more fruits and veggies, and do some form of exercise every day. (this is a big change for me as usually I try to focus on a weight loss goal or try to do some MAJOR diet/exercise plan and fail)
3. Declutter my house for 15 minutes a day. I am overloaded with STUFF which makes it hard to clean. I usually start HUGE organizing projects and spend a week tearing apart a room or a cupboard while the rest of my house becomes a disaster. I'm following the Declutter 365 plan (yes it's another calendar) and I'm excited because I KNOW i can
do just 15 minutes a day! And I don't have to stress about the areas that aren't done yet because I know i will get to them eventually. lol.
4. Individual "dates" with my kids. I am going to pull out a little bit of cash each week to take one of my four kids on a date. They can choose an activity, meal, or purchase using the budgeted amount. Each kid will get one date a month and I can easily set aside one date night a week and since it's already budgeted for it won't feel like a burden. One-on-one time is so important, especially as my kids are getting older. So I'm very
excited to implement this into our schedule.
