There have been a number of water "emergencies" in the news lately so we thought it would be helpful to give a quick overview of some of the reasons you may need to have water stored, as well as some helpful resources and a CHALLENGE for
you.
The West Virginia Chemical Spill back in January contaminated the water supply for up to 300,000 people. This was actually one of the emergency scenarios we practices during our
7 Day Challenge last year so we knew how these people felt going without basic water services during the emergency.
The droughts in California and other states have been a large source of worry this winter as well. This can affect crops and ultimately affect the entire country, but it has an immediate affect on local residents. The governor has asked Californians to cut their water usage by 20 percent. Having water stored can help alleviate some problems this may cause, particularly if things get worse.
